Vicki Lim joined Team HEAL in 2005 where she served as the Certified Athletic Trainer at Manual Arts High School. She has since, been at Banning High School, where she has established a sports medicine program for high school students. She is also a preceptor for Loyola Marymount University’s athletic training students.
She graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Physical Education and holds a CTE credential in medical technology and health sciences. There, she was a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a National Freshman Honors Society (3.5 GPA and above). She was very involved in leadership having served as President of SDSU Chapter of Rotaract, and member of the SDSU crew team. Vicki was a recipient of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She was tapped into Mortar Board, a National honors society for college seniors that demonstrate academic excellence, service and leadership. In 1999, she completed a 1500 hour internship program at University of California, San Diego, where she covered Men’s basketball, soccer and rugby.
Her work experience includes outpatient physical therapy, aquatic therapy, and industrial athletic training. Ms. Lim has taken Banning sports medicine students to the St. Francis sports medicine competition and has qualified to compete in the National Sports Medicine Championship. In addition to her work experience, she is certified in kinesiotaping and trained in McKenzie technique for evaluation of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
