Phineas Banning High School was ranked for the second consecutive year by US News and World Report "Best High Schools" as a Silver Ranking. Banning moved from 327 to 222 ranking in the state of California, and moved from 1733 to 1253 ranking in the Nation out of 22,000 High Schools. Click the link above for move information.

Random Metal Detector Searches

In keeping with District policy, we conduct random searches on a daily basis to ensure everyone's safety. Specifically, the purpose of these searches are to detect the possession of weapons, deter bringing weapons onto school grounds, and reduce the potential for violent incidents.
