1 of The Greatest Times of My Life
I remember my junior year at banning. since i didnt have the grades to be on the football team i still managed to make it to every game. whether i had a ride or not me and my cousin meno figured out a way to the games. The whole preseason was a mess. we lost to Taft, Poly, Crenshaw and Mater Dei. The only team we beat was St. Paul. then the marine league started. we lost to pedro when they opened their new stadium. we beat norbonne, gardena and washington. The carson blew us out. But i still had faith. we drove all the way to Kennedy and thats when the tide turned. they scored on their first possesion and you can tell people in the stands were like "not again" then James Carter returns the kickoff for a TD!!! then we stop them at the goal line (im getting goose bumps writing about it). we beat granada hills at home and we had our sweet revenge. what better way to win a 4A City Championship then by beating San Pedro in the Semi-Final by a last second field goal. And crushing Carsons hopes of back to back titles at the Colusium. 1 of the best times of my life.
