Ale...is the reason
Beginning of Senior year, the time to begin college applications. I have never had an exact career or college I HAD to have. When application time came around, I didn't know what to do because I had no idea where I would want to attend. Would I want to be close to home, far from home, live on-campus, live at home. Ale(Alejandra Martinez) encouraged me to apply to multiple schools to have back-ups, thank God I had application waivers. So I applied to multiple Cal States that caught some type of my attention. However, when applying to UCs came around I started to doubt I wanted to attend one and had decided I wasn't going to apply to them. Ale of course, strongly encouraged and convinced me to still apply in case I changed my mind. As it happens, when admissions came around, I got accepted to the universities I truly wanted, plus some others. I started visiting the schools that really had my attention. Turns out, the one school I thought didn't interest me completely captivated me because of it's campus...and now I'm at a UC and love living here. Even though I made the grades and the scores to have admission granted, Ale's assistance with my personal statement and the strong encouragement to apply to UCs, IS THE REASON I had this great school to choose from.
