1st win in six years.

I was reading some of the memoirs and I could not help but remember the night our Varsity football team beat Carson, I believe the score was (36-35). Both teams started the game undefeated and there was electricity in the air of the locker room, prior to the game. I had the privilege of playing on that team which started a string of wins and city championships. It was an honor to beat Carson for the first time in six years on that October night at El Camino College. The stadium was packed to the rafters as we ran onto the field. Our team roster included players like Vince Ferragamo, Clarence and Danny Reese, Michael McClanahan, Harry Alo, Steve Rivera, Alonzo (Oogy)Bell and many more. I look back on those years in high school, and I think about how much softer life was then, even if we had just endured the Soaring 60's (Whew). Vietnam and Hot Pants was on every young man's mind.

I had the prvilege to serve honorbly in our U.S Army for 23 years immediatley following graduation. Now I am a consultant for a large HMO here in Southern California, and will be working on my Master's in Public Administration. Those afternoon's on the practice field with Coach Chris Ferragamo during football season and with Coach Zamparini, or (Zamp as we called him) on the track field taught me how to work hard and persevere. I am honored to say I went to the Old Ivy Red Bricked Walled Phineas Banning High School. GO PILOTS!!!! .
