Maritime Scholars Fall 2016 Application is now available.

The Maritime Scholars Program is designed to support the development of gifted and talented youth. Students share common classes and teachers. This allows for collaboration across the curriculum and a greater degree of personalization between teachers and students. The goal of the program is to encourage students to be active learners, well rounded individuals, and engaged citizens. All interested 8th grade students are encouraged to apply. Fall Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that provides the books kids want to read. It's a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.
Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Please make plans to come to our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child's reading habits.

Coffee with the Principal

Banning High School presents "Coffee with the Principal" Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 8:30 - 9:30am. Come meet with our Principal and enjoy some coffee and danishes while discussing information concerning our school.


Western Association of Schools and Colleges Commission (WASC) has granted Phineas Banning High School a 3 year WASC Accreditation term which reaffirms our accreditation through June 2020. The 3 year WASC term is the maximum that a school can receive from a mid year review.
This is a result of the your collaborative work and commitment to improving the instructional program, ours SLC vision, and the school culture. I thank and applaud all of you for your resilience and tenacity.
